Impact of Tourism in 2025

Every year, Visit Fort Worth commissions Tourism Economics to conduct a study on the impact of tourism in the city. The 2025 study reports that key indicators of Fort Worth’s visitor economy have doubled over the past decade, including:

State of the Fort Worth Visitor 

Findings from a landmark research study, highlight Fort Worth as the fastest growing city in the nation for tourism growth; from 2019 to 2024, topping a list of 17 major cities including Nashville, Charlotte, Las Vegas and Orlando.  

The report also details how Fort Worth’s visitor profile and demand have grown in recent years by attracting a more affluent traveler. Total visitor household income increasing by 24% and fly market (250+ miles) visitor household income increasing by 38%.  

This translates into jobs and business for our local economy, as well as millions in tax revenue generated by visitors.
